Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly to support issues and follow up till resolution
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and provide quick resolution to production problems
• Follow up and provide timely reporting on issues to management
• Resolve the production issue within the SLA.
• Develop efficient and high quality code while meeting product release deadlines
• Translate architectural vision into the design and delivery of a functioning system
• Design solutions utilizing IBM Data Stage / Oracle
• Ensure adherence to architectural and design standards
• Coordinate with other system owners and leads
• Develop deployment and rollout plans as needed
• Bring strong focus on performance, scalability and other key non-functional requirements to the overall program
• Write good technical design documentation and technical approach
• Perform peer code reviews: verify extensibility, reusability and maintainability
• Develop and execute detailed test plans (unit testing and functional testing)
• Provide guidance and technical assistance to junior staff members

Requirements:

• 3 -5 years working experience
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in production support, application development preferably in data warehouse environment
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ETL tools Data Stage 7 or higher or Informatica 8 or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle 9i or higher, SQL, PL/SQL
• Preference will be given to Data Stage candidate.
• Knowledge of performance tuning is added advantage.
• Knowledge of reporting tools like BOXI, OBIEE or COGNOS will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in UNIX and Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of PHP or other web development tools will be an advantage.
• Effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
• Ability to interact effectively within and across other teams.
• Strong technical acumen and communications skills
